Events around the capital city area include a post Nevada Day Trash Mob cleanup, a morning bike ride, Pow Wow activities at the MAC, the RSVP carnival at Mills Park as well as as tours of the Wungnema House, also in the park, Thomas the Train activities Virginia City and more. Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region Friday through Sunday to celebrate Nevada Day. Activities include the annual parade down Carson Street, a carnival at Mills Park, the 30th annual Nevada Day Classic, The La Ka Lel Be Pow Wow at the MAC, beard and rock drilling contests, delicious food dishes, pancakes, chili and plenty of beverages to suit kids and adults of all ages.

Counting down the hours until the Nevada Day weekend celebration begins, we're heading into Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019 with sunny skies in the forecast through Sunday. Thursday opens the first of the four-day annual RSVP Nevada Day Carnival at Mills Park with $1 ride family night hosted by Carson City Toyota. Other activities around the capital city include a Muscle Powered afternoon hike, art showings, library activities, a gold and silver rush presentation at the Nevada State Museum and more.

The Silver State celebrates its birthday this week in Carson City and will put on a statehood celebration like no other as Nevada Day comes into full swing, featuring the annual parade down Carson Street on Saturday, a carnival at Mills Park, The La Ka Lel Be Pow Wow at the MAC, activities for adults and kids, contests, delicious food dishes, pancakes, chili and plenty of beverages to suit every wild hair.

An all-ages Halloween costume contest like no other in the Silver State will be hosted by RSVP during the Nevada Day Carnival at Mills Park in Carson City on Saturday, Oct. 26.

2019 is the 34th Year RSVP will host the Annual Nevada Day Carnival in Carson City,
a benefit for RSVP’s volunteer driver program, respite care, homemaker services and other lifesaving volunteer programs that help seniors maintain their dignity, self-respect and independence.

As summer winds down, fall events in Tahoe South are ramping up. And the secret’s out: Fall in Tahoe South is one of the most idyllic times to visit with mild weather, off-season lodging rates, more beach space and numerous events starting Labor Day Weekend.

The Carson City Fair is returning for its third year this month, and it’s bringing big changes and several new events to its roster including a demolition derby, American Ninja Farmer contests, jello eating contests, animal auctions, and more.

There's the kickoff of two main events, the Nevada State Fair at Mills Park and the Spring Street Vibrations at Battle Born Harley-Davidson. The Nevada State Fair returns to Mill Park in Carson City from June 6-9 featuring four days of entertainment, exciting carnival rides, food, music and much more.

We have a bevy of activities lined up Friday including the opening of the Transcontinental Railroad exhibit at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, day 1 of the two-day Mother's Day Plant Sale hosted by The Greenhouse Project, RSVP's Spring Celebration and Carnival at Mills Park, a day hike, art showings, live music and more.

Heading into Thursday, May 9, 2019 we're looking at a few showers and partly sunny skies around Carson City. The event lineup features the RSVP Spring Celebration and Carnival kickoff and family night at Mills Park, a Healthy Communities event in Silver Springs, CASA volunteer information hour workshop, an afternoon hike along the Ash Canyon trail, art demonstrations, live music and more. Celebrating more than three decades of rides, games and fun, 2019 marks the 34th year that Nevada Rural Counties RSVP will host its Spring Celebration and Carnival at Mills Park in Carson City, May 9-12.

Nevada's celebration of statehood provides for a bevy of activities that showcase the Silver State's best. From contests to exhibits, food and beverages of all kinds, Native dancing, hot air balloons, concerts, a carnival celebration at Mills Park and the famed Nevada Day parade, there is something for everyone throughout the long weekend.

Nevada Day Celebration begins on Friday, October 26th with the Passport to Downtown event, Curry Street Ribbon Cutting, Raffles, and more.

Yeah, it’s hot out there, but it’s the area happenings that are sizzling. The Carson City Fair at Fuji Park offers a plethora of entertainment for all ages including tractor pulls, a carnival, and farm animals. Under the shade of the Mills Park cottonwoods, you’ll have all day to peruse the varied vehicles in the annual Run Whatcha Brung Car Show. The sun will come out tomorrow, but it’s the stars that are coming out tonight for the free Levitt Amp Concert at the Brewery Arts Center.

Friday morning started the Carson City fair's weekend, with events such as the popular dog show, the beginning of the silent auction, and the Youth Livestock competitions.

Ready for a good time? The Carson City Fair runs all day and culminates with a special concert in the arena starring Journey Unlimited. Car lovers are in for a treat: you can head down to the Carson Mall for their monthly cruise night, or roll into the Max Casino to get registered for the 33rd annual Run Whatcha Brung Car Show. The Trippin King Snakes take the stage in McFadden Plaza for a free all-ages show. Break a leg to the kids of Youth Theater Carson City; they open their production of ‘Bye, Bye, Birdie’ at the Community Center this evening.
