Carson City residents delivered by donating more than 80 cases of bottled water to local first responders.
Forest Service continues effort to eliminate invasive plant populations from Lake Tahoe Basin
Submitted by editor on Mon, 07/10/2017 - 11:57amThe U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) will continue a project to eradicate, control, and contain known infestations of invasive plants in the Lake Tahoe Basin using chemical treatment. Work will take place at approximately 90 infestations sites (18.25 acres) beginning in mid-July and continuing through September 2017.

Less than fifty years ago people paid cash or used credit for medical care which was true for most of the history of our nation. Indeed, medical care was once so accessible and affordable that most people did not need insurance to pay their medical bills. Then, medical Doctors and Insurance companies began to lobby government to 'regulate' (i.e. monopolize) health care to 'improve' it.

While Mt Rushmore was impressive, the amount of dead trees in the otherwise beautiful forests was depressing. They were everywhere. In addition, there were huge slash piles stacked in the forest. It was ugly and sad to see the extent of the damage.

Many elderly are victims of financial fraud. The Federal Trade Commission estimated that in 2011, 7.3 percent of adults aged 65 to 74 were victims of financial fraud.
