Evening of Art at Fritsch Elementary

After a week of working on their projects, students showed off their works of art at the school on Thursday, May 22nd. With a fourth grade violinist playing in the background, family and friends strolled around looking at over 400 creative and original masterpieces.
Fritsch Elementary Ends Year with a Splash of Color

The school has invited local artists into the classroom to share their expertise and creativity with the students. “Art taps into all parts of the brain and allows us to reach students who have talents that otherwise would not be realized,” stated Principal Mary Garey.
December's Empty Bowls Project in Carson City raises more than $2,700 for FISH
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sat, 01/11/2014 - 9:08amThe Empty Bowls project, a locally organized fundraiser that culminated at the Carson City Silver and Snowflake Festival on Dec. 6 and was initiated to bring awareness of local hunger issues, raised $2,722.35 for Friends in Service Helping, also known as FISH, which feeds, houses and provides services for more than 20,000 people in Carson City annually.
Saddle Up For KIds Event a Success

Friday, June 28th’s dinner at the Governor’s Mansion and Saturday, June 29th’s Carnival at Mills Park wouldn’t have been as successful if not for our volunteers!
