Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Man arrested for domestic battery, felony drugs

An 18 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday morning at 8:45 a.m. in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on felony drug possession charges along with misdemeanor first-offense domestic battery, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

Fire danger prompts target shooting restrictions for Eldorado National Forest

Due to extremely dry vegetation and very high fire danger, Eldorado National Forest Supervisor Laurence Crabtree announced that additional fire restrictions will go into effect that will prohibit recreational target shooting beginning Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018. These restrictions will be in effect through Oct. 9, 2018, but could be extended if necessary.

Accessing cell-phones during class may also result in confiscation, delivery to the office, and a call home to have the parent or guardian come and personally pick it up from the office.
