Buffet Dinner

The Carson City Council of the United States Navy League will hold its bi-monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino, 2171 Hwy 50E, Carson City. The social hour is at 5:30 PM followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30 PM. Our speaker will be Colonel Phillip W. Chandler, USMC, Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC). Get out your lucky hat, because the Proscenium Players in conjunction with the Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino in Carson City is about to unveil a mystery dinner show that spoofs the movie “Casablanca” and the American dream of winning the jackpot. Penned by Tony Schwartz and Marylou Ambrose, the show, "Dealt a Deadly Hand: Murder at the Carson City Casino Royale," takes place at Rick’s club, the first legal gambling casino in Carson City. Rick dreams of striking it rich – then two crafty Native Americans try to claim the land and his gold-digging ex-wife Lola shows up.

Last Saturday evening (Dec. 3), the Ormsby Sportsmen’s Association (OSA) of Carson City held its traditional end-of-the-year banquet at the Carson Nugget and ended the 2011 year on a high note.

This is a final reminder to set aside the evening of this Saturday, Dec. 3 for the Ormsby Sportsmen’s Association (OSA) big, annual banquet at the Carson Nugget Convention Center.

If you hunt and/or fish, you might want to set aside the evening of Saturday, December 03 for a “Ton of Fun” with a whole bunch of your counterparts.

That is the date of the Ormsby Sportsmen’s Association (OSA) of Carson City big, end-of-the-year, annual banquet.

Ormsby Sportsmen’s Association:
OSA is a local sportsmen’s club, which was founded way back in 1945; and with a 2011 paid-up membership of more than 220 members, it is one of the oldest and largest sportsmen’s group in the State of Nevada.
