Heading into the weekend, there's a bevy of events around the Carson City region that brings a cool breeze to the first three days of summer. The 16th Motor Officer Challenge kicks off Friday at 7 a.m. at Mills Park. Lace up the shoes for a Friday morning walk at East Silver Saddle Ranch hosted by Muscle Powered.

Canyon White is at The Canvas Cafe every Sunday 9 a.m. to Noon so come on up and start your day right with some yummy breakfast and Canyon White!

Join all car and Motorcycle enthusiasts in the first Annual Poker run ,sponsored by Elks Lodge No. 2177. Registration starts at 9 a.m., June 22 at the Carson City Elks Lodge 515 N. Nevada Street. Proceeds will benefit the Elk's Veterans' Fund. Vehicles must be 1970 or older.

Heading into Father’s Day weekend, there's plenty of jam-packed activities around the Carson City region. There's Flag Day ceremonies at the Nevada Veterans Memorial and at the Elks Lodge. The Stewart Father’s Day Powwow happens Friday to Sunday and features hundreds of American Indian dancers, drummers artists and cultural enthusiasts. Lace up the tennis shoes for the Eastside Historical tour of the capital city hosted by Muscle Powered. Journey of Hope returns to Western Nevada College at 5 p.m. to settle into the evening. Open Mic Night at A to Zen will cap-off an eventful Friday heading into the weekend.

Members of Carson City Emblem Club No. 507 will honor all fathers on Sunday, June 16, with a Father's Day brunch.
This event runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon. A variety of breakfast choices will be offered and the public is invited to attend.
The event is at the the Elk's Lodge No. 2177, 515 N Nevada Street in Carson City. The cost is $12 per person.

Carson City Ward 2 Supervisor Brad Bonkowski will host “Breakfast with Brad” on Friday, June 7 from 7:00 to 8:00 am at the Cracker Box restaurant. Bonkowski encourages any Carson City resident with questions, concerns or ideas about the city to attend.

Good morning Carson City, and happy June! We have a ton of events going on today in our beloved capital city, with the June wine walk, the first day of the farmer’s market, a brew fest at Fuji park, and more! With a high of 75, it’s shaping up to finally start to feel like summer (knock on wood).

Heading into a jam-packed weekend of events around the Carson City region, there's a bevy of activities Friday to get your started. Later there's a cruise night gathering at Carson Mall to benefit Safe Grad Night, an Italian dinner fundraiser at the Governor's Mansion to benefit Carson City's homeless, live music at Living the Good Life and A to Zen, laughs at the Carson Comedy Club, and much more. Safe Grad has been a tradition for Carson High since 1988, started by community volunteers, after a series of graduation incidents and deaths related to alcohol. Safe Grad is a parent and community sponsored all-night party that begins the evening after graduation at the Carson City Community Center, and this year they are looking for volunteers to help fulfill their mission.

Come and bring the family for the 18th Annual Oodles of Noodles Festival and Pasta Cookoff, Saturday, June 1, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in historic downtown Dayton. Pancake breakfast, food vendors, pet parade, bounce house, craft vendors and more!

Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 is proudly hosting the first Charity Poker Run on Saturday, June 22, 2019. All proceeds benefit local veteran charities. The poker run is open to motorcycles and cars older than 1970.

Pre-Registration will be held at the Elks Lodge located at 515 N. Nevada St. from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Day of Event registration will be from 9 to 11 a.m. There will be a Bloody Martha Bar available for adult beverages.

Entry is only $25 per driver and $10 per passenger for either a bike or car. Registration includes breakfast at the Lodge.

Carson City’s own Friends In Service Helping unveiled the new Crisis Cab on Friday morning along with breakfast.

The Crisis Cab is FISH’s transport vehicle, which will be used to transport those in crisis to Mallory Behavioral Health Crisis Center, a department of Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare.

Press Coffee and Waffles is Carson City’s newest mobile eatery, and will be hitting the streets sometime this month to serve up two of America's favorite breakfast items to the capital city and surrounding areas.

Press Coffee and Waffles is stationed out of a vintage 1960s food cart. The cart in and of itself is eye catching, with rounded curves in an example of classic retro-futurism, which, said co-owner Aaron Gorton, is one of only 150 ever made.

Heading into Thursday, May 9, 2019 we're looking at a few showers and partly sunny skies around Carson City. The event lineup features the RSVP Spring Celebration and Carnival kickoff and family night at Mills Park, a Healthy Communities event in Silver Springs, CASA volunteer information hour workshop, an afternoon hike along the Ash Canyon trail, art demonstrations, live music and more.
