Carson High School wins 48-0 against Galena Friday night
On Friday, Sept. 10, the Carson High Varsity Football team defeated Galena High School 48-0 at the 7 p.m. game which took place at Carson High School.
For the "toga night" theme, Senator fans wore togas of white and gold to show support for the home team.
The Carson High Marching Band - under the direction of teacher Nick Jacques - performed “Colors” and the show was conducted by the duo Drum Majors Emma Thomsen and Jasmine Wong-Fortunato.
The Carson team dominated throughout the game, with a strong and tight defense putting constant pressure on Galena’s offense.
No. 34 Benjamin Heaton was consistently making powerful plays while No. 18 Lucas Gonzalez made an impressive touchdown in the fourth quarter.
The Carson team plays again on Sept. 17th at Reed High School.
Then, the Senators will play against McQueen High School for their Homecoming Game on Sept. 24.
