Carson City man sentenced to life in prison for sexually assaulting teen
A 19-year-old Carson City man was sentenced Monday to life in prison for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl on her birthday in May 2016.
Isaiah Poole was sentenced to 10 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 10 years on the sexual assault case and 36 to 96 months on a separate robbery case, with an additional 36 to 96 months for a deadly weapon enhancement, to run concurrent with the sexual assault case.
He was sentenced by District Court Judge Todd Russell.
According to Deputy District Attorney Melanie A. Brantingham, Poole sexually assaulted the girl inside a bathroom at her 15th birthday party in May 2016. He pled guilty to the sexual assault.
In December of that same year, Poole used a gun to rob a victim of marijuana. He pled guilty to robbery with a deadly weapon.
