Douglas County Sheriff's Office records, administration and Stateline substation closed
MINDEN, Nev. — Effective immediately the Douglas County Sheriff’s Offices,( Records and Administration) located at 1038 Buckeye Rd, Minden and 175 Hwy 50, Stateline will be closed to the public for 30 days.
Governor Sisolak has issued the following order:
All licenses and permits issued by the State of Nevada or by local jurisdictions that are set to expire during this state of emergency have been extended 90 days either from their current expiration date or 90 days after the state of emergency is lifted, whichever is later. Finally, any person whose annual business license renewal fee is due during the declaration of emergency will have a 60-day grace period after the end of the state of emergency to file, renew, and pay their dues. Penalties on these licenses will not accrue for late payment.
The new order eliminates the immediate need for the public to come into the Sheriff’s Office to renew licenses. Any new Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) applications will be postponed for 30 days or until the Sheriff has identified a low risk of COVID-19 exposure to the Sheriff’s Office employees.
All other functions of the Sheriff’s Office will remain in operation. Keeping the Douglas County community safe is our top priority and we thank you all for your patience as we continue to make transitions during this difficult time.
Should you have a non-emergency issue or question for the Sheriff’s Office please contact 782-9933 and someone will be available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
