AAUW Membership Brunch via Zoom on Sept. 12
The Capital Branch of AAUW is having its annual Membership 'Brunch' this year on Saturday Sept. 12 via Zoom, instead of at the Governor's Mansion as in previous years, since that facility is closed due to the COVID-19 situation.
While food unfortunately will be missing, socializing begins at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting and event lasting from 10 a.m. to noon. It celebrates the year's activities and accomplishments, including a 5-Star Award from the National AAUW; sets goals and makes plans for the coming year; and honors the two Carson High School scholarship winners, Ava Covington and Gabriella Fernandez.
AAUW (American Association of University Women) is a non-partisan organization whose mission is "advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research". Anyone interested in more information is encouraged to access the website: http://capital-nv.aauw/net
