AD-40 candidate to speak at Carson City Democrats online luncheon
Software engineer Derek Morgan, Democratic primary candidate for Assembly District 40, will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon, being held online only for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A product of rural Nevada, Morgan earned his computer science degree at community college and the University of Nevada, Reno, and has been employed in both the public and private sectors. Since the birth of his daughter Juniper, he has acquired additional skills as a diaper changer and family barbecue chef. He promises to advocate for improvements in public education, childhood nutrition, and affordable health care.
Sponsored by the Democratic Men's Committee, this event is scheduled for noon on Monday, March 30th, and will be held online via Zoom teleconference due to the temporary shutdown of all in-person venues. Those wishing to be on distribution for luncheon links should contact Rich Dunn, Men's Committee Events Coordinator, at richdunn@aol.com.
