Plumas Bank on North Carson Street in Carson City held up in robbery, suspect flees on foot

UPDATE: Carson City Sheriff's Office responded Thursday morning to a robbery at Plumas Bank in the 1100 block of North Carson Street in which the suspect was armed with a gun, fled with an undisclosed amount of money and is considered dangerous.

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board voted Wednesday unanimously to certify the Final Environmental Impact Statement and approve the Tahoe Keys Lagoons Aquatic Weed Control Methods Test Project.

December gaming revenue soars 68 percent statewide; up nearly 20 percent for Carson City area

Gaming generated revenue around Carson City area casinos was up nearly 20 percent in December compared to December 2020, according to figures released Thursday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Statewide, gaming revenue increased by 68 percent.
