The Carson City School Board of Trustees is seeking feedback from teachers, employees, parents, families and community members via a brief community survey regarding candidate interviews for the Carson City School district superintendent position.

UPDATE: Carson City Sheriff's Office responded Thursday morning to a robbery at Plumas Bank in the 1100 block of North Carson Street in which the suspect was armed with a gun, fled with an undisclosed amount of money and is considered dangerous.

December gaming revenue soars 68 percent statewide; up nearly 20 percent for Carson City area

Gaming generated revenue around Carson City area casinos was up nearly 20 percent in December compared to December 2020, according to figures released Thursday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Statewide, gaming revenue increased by 68 percent.
