Law enforcement is investigating a burglary that happened early Saturday at Battle Born Ammunition and Firearms, 4630 Highway 50 East in Carson City in which several guns were stolen.
Carson City Fire Department close streets briefly after roofing material found in roadway

Carson CIty Sheriff's Office and the Fire Department responded Monday afternoon to the area of Roop and William and William and Plaza streets after roofing material was causing traffic hazards in the roadway.

Carson City pair jailed for child neglect, endangerment; children found wandering lived in filthy apartment

Two were booked for suspicion of felony child neglect, endangerment and drug offenses following an investigation that led deputies to a filthy apartment with narcotics in plain view and within reach of three small children who were found wandering outside early Sunday morning without proper clothes, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Museums unite to bring Chinese New Year celebration this Saturday to downtown Carson City

The Nevada State Museum, Carson City and the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada will host a Chinese New Year Celebration starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5. Festivities begin in the park in front of the Nevada State Museum, Carson City with crafts and traditional Chinese dances.

Visit Carson City has opened online voting for the community to choose their favorite graphic representations that can be used on new merchandise like clothing, water bottles, stickers and more. Voting runs now through Thursday, Feb. 10, with the winner being notified Friday, Feb. 11.
