December gaming revenue soars 68 percent statewide; up nearly 20 percent for Carson City area
Casinos in Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and other areas of Douglas County except for Stateline at Lake Tahoe, had a total "gaming win" of $11,026,880 for the month highlighted with the holiday season, compared to $9,222,068 in 2020 or 19.57 percent. At south shore Lake Tahoe, which includes the casino corridor at Stateline, gaming revenue climbed by 18.95 percent compared to December 2020 raking in $18,569,338 for the month.
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,150,169,585 for the month of December 2021. This amounts to a 68.23 percent increase compared to December 2020, when licensees reported a gaming win of $683,698,776. For the fiscal year, July 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021, gaming win has increased 60.43 percent.
Elsewhere, Reno gaming revenue increased by 26.34 percent, North Lake Tahoe, 42.86 percent and the Las Vegas Strip, 122.28 percent.
