Quad-County COVID-19 cases increase by 20; 23 recoveries reported

We are reporting 20 new cases and 23 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 12,488, with 11,855 recoveries and 225 deaths; 408 cases remain active.

Carson City Historic Resource Commission Announces the 2021 Scavenger Hunt

In recognition of Historic Preservation and Archeological Awareness Month, the City’s Historic Resource Commission has organized the 2021 Scavenger Hunt.

Nevada claimants receiving unemployment benefits will be required to do work search activities or training

CARSON CITY — As the state, and the nation, enters a new period of transition and with effective safety mitigation efforts in place, the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation announces a return to the pre-pandemic work search requirement, for all claimants receiving unemployment benefits in both the regular Unemployment Insurance (UI) and the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance programs.
