Muscle Powered's Saturday Hike to Escape to Prison Hill: The Abridged Version

Please join us for an 8-mile round-trip hike that traverses most of the "Escape from Prison Hill" trail. We will head up Dead Truck Trail, cross over to hike down to the most western end of Prison Hill, turn south and then east to arrive at the highest point of Prison Hill.

My Nevada story began with a family trip through the Silver State

All six of us piled into the family Ford Econoline Trail Wagon, brand new at the time, and set out to break in the new set of wheels.

Spring has sprung in Carson City
Submitted by Brett Fisher on Sat, 03/23/2019 - 2:23pmAs if on cue with the change of seasons, Spring daffodils have begun flowering in Carson City. Daffodils, an early Spring bulb, are blooming by the dozens, in fact, around Carson City's downtown historic west side district.
Some trees have also begun to blossom, while many others are sporting buds that are on the verge. Soon Spring will be busting out all over around the Nevada state capital.

Man walking with his pants down arrested for indecent exposure

Ann streets in downtown Carson City for gross misdemeanor indecent exposure after multiple witnesses observed him with his pants down, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
