We are dancing 6 to 8pm on Friday August 1st

The Jazz and Beyond Festival, Aug. 1-17 in Carson City, embraces numerous artists and highlights various venues in and around the Capital City and includes such genres as: Bluegrass, Blues, Middle-Eastern music and much more.
The styles of musical interpretations are as unique as the settings — offering exciting experience for all to enjoy. Last year, the festival featured 60 performances and over 100 performers. Event Promoters expect to once again exceed the expectations of attendees with an amazing lineup.
Living the Good Life nightclub grand opening tonight

July 25, 2014 - 5:00pm Living the Good Life, a new upscale nightclub on the corner of Adams and North Carson Street, is celebrating its grand opening tonight with live music and dancing.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and close when the party stops. Starting at 9 p.m. Dane Reinhart will be playing music and serving as DJ.
Care Flight called to accident involving pedestrian in downtown Carson City
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Fri, 07/25/2014 - 2:34pmCarson City fire and ambulance were called this afternoon to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 400 block of North Carson Street.
The victim was taken by Care Flight to the trauma ward of Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
The accident was reported to Carson City dispatch at 2:26 p.m. Carson City sheriff's deputies were redirecting traffic around the accident scene.
Care Flight landed behind a nearby casino parking lot at Robinson Street. No other details were available on the victim.

July 26, 2014 - 7:00pm Saturday evenings are stellar this summer at the Jack C. Davis Observatory of Western Nevada College. A series of free slide lectures will be offered through August 23. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. lectures.
On Saturday, July 26, John Dykes, a resident photographer, presents a lecture about the art of astrophotography. Dykes explains this process and shows many slides of his work.

NV150 Fair in Carson City opens with free entry and nonstop entertainment

UPDATE: Thursday at 11 a.m., the Wells Fargo coach will be delivering Governor Brian Sandoval, Carson City Mayor Robert Crowell and Wells Fargo Regional Manager Chad Osorno and Wells Fargo Northern Nevada Area Manager Sean French to Fuji Park in south Carson City to preside over the official opening and ribbon cutting of Carson City’s contribution to the NV150 Anniversary event, the NV150Fair.
The NV150Fair will feature over 90 4-H and Future Farmers of America kids from around the region showcasing their animals and farm knowledge.
