Vandal targets churches, West Musser Street overnight with profanity-laced graffiti

A vandal spray painted at least eight homes, vehicles, businesses, two churches, the Brewery Arts Center and the Carson City School District's Gleason Building on West Musser Street sometime Thursday morning.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office was alerted to the graffiti at around 7 a.m. Given the words, phrases and profanity used, the vandalism doesn't appear to be gang-related, officials said.

"By the nature of it it looks like someone was upset and began walking along Musser Street with a can of spray paint," said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Mike Cullen.

Old timers told me, many years ago, that the two months of November and March are the best times of the year to fish at that large desert lake, north of Reno-Sparks. And, through the years, I have found that to be true, even though I have fished at Pyramid many other months of the year.
