I have long found it impossible to decide which Carson City event is my favorite: forever waffling between Nevada Day and the Taste of Downtown. Seeing as the annual parade is still months away, I’m going to side with ‘The Taste’ purely for its timeliness. With over forty local eateries participating, multiple raffles at downtown shops, and seven bands rocking every corner of the event, it’s practically impossible to have a bad time. Mark Mulder charges back to challenge Joe Pavelski at ACC

It was only a matter of time before Mark Mulder stormed back during the American Century Championship, as thousands of sun-kissed fans once again packed the celebrity golf tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course on Saturday.

Winner of three straight ACC championships (2015-17), Mulder recorded a personal best 31 points on the Stableford scoring system. Finishing tied for 16th on day one, he’s in second place with 47 points on Day 2, one point behind Joe Pavelski with 48.

San Jose Sharks forward Joe Pavelski leads after Friday’s opening round of the 2018 American Century Championship, as thousands of fans watched on a sun-baked day at Tahoe’s celebrity golf tournament.
