Registration open for 6th Carson City Kiwanis Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 09/09/2019 - 12:32pmThe 6th Annual Carson City Kiwanis Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament will take place at the beautiful Silver Oak Golf Course in Carson City. Tee time begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019.
This event is the last and largest of the events hosted by Carson City Kiwanis during their Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day activities. This event has sold out each year. The reason: all proceeds support Pancreatic Cancer research and scholarships to local high school graduates.

She wants to let everyone know that pickleball is a serious game and can help in relieving all sorts health problems including reversing or slowing bone density issues, according to her medical doctor.

However, they quickly outgrew their space, and three months ago, the new Bulldog Cyber Cafe opened its doors at 251 Jeanelle Street in Carson City.

Currently, the Club activities are hosted at Pau Wa Lu Middle School, but due to school events and availability of classrooms, there are many limitations to what the Club can provide to the youth of Carson Valley without having its own location.

Fishing Report: Anglers are reeling them in during the warming weather

Many of the passes are opening and the higher lakes are thawing out. Winter seems to get longer and longer each year. So enjoy the next two weeks of spring, because I have a feeling its going to be a hot year. Fishing has started to pick up all over the area, and with the school year ending for most kids, we are now in full camping mode. There are still some areas that are closed, due to the excessive winter we just had. I will try to keep you updated as the season progresses.
