Carson City weather: Chance of showers and thunderstorms through much of the week

An area of low pressure is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms to the Carson City region through much of the week, with the best chances for storms Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Carson City area weather: Cool temperatures then warmup beginning midweek

Sweater weather will continue around the Carson City region through Tuesday, with daytime temperatures in the upper 50s, according to the National Weather Service. A gradual warmup begins Wednesday, with high temperatures in the 60s and then 70s Thursday through Sunday.

CARSON CITY, Nev. – Daytime single lane closures, followed by a 10-day intersection closure, will begin Monday, April 23 on State Route 88 at Centerville Lane in Douglas County as the Nevada Department of Transportation installs a traffic roundabout.
