A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday in the 400 block of Clear Creek Avenue for misdemeanor suspicion of battery, a sheriff's deputy report said.

The nonprofit organization greenUP!, which provides environmental education to businesses announced a group effort to make our Nevada Day parade in Carson City a more sustainable event. A Nevada Day green team was assembled to find ways to reduce waste at the event and they are seeking volunteers for the Nevada Day parade and festivities on Oct. 26.

A 34-year-old man was arrested early Sunday in the 300 block of East William Street for suspicion of felony burglary after allegedly stealing cash from a drive-through window at a fast food restaurant, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 2400 block of Silver Sage Drive early Saturday morning on five charges including DUI second and leaving the scene of an accident.

CARSON CITY — The Carson Nugget is pleased to announce that we will be opening a new bar on the main casino floor called the Lucky 7 Bar. The Lucky 7 Bar will be a full service vodka themed slot bar with specialty vodka drinks, draft beer, and a margarita machine. A 51-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday afternoon in the area of Silver Sage and Sonoma for DUI drugs, failure to maintain lane, and failure to use due care, which resulted in a three car collision.

The woman was arrested after deputies responded to a traffic accident in which the driver who caused the accident appeared to be under the influence, according to the report.
