Wine walking in a windy wonderland

Event Date:
October 1, 2016 - 1:00pm

Fall in love with downtown as Carson City moves into autumn. The monthly Downtown Business Association’s monthly Wine Walk pays no heed to what the weather serves up. Start the day at the semi-annual Vintage Market right behind Due Sorella, then stick around to sign yourself, your friends, family and neighbors up for October Wine Walk.

The wine walk runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. every first Saturday of the month. Sign up at the Carson Nugget, Cactus Jacks, Carson Jewelry and Loan, Remedy's Bar, Touched by Angels, Comma Coffee, or inside the Artisan Shop of the Brewery Arts Center. Don't forget to turn in your raffle ticket and vote for your favorite stop. The raffle will be at Alatte in the Carson Nugget at 5 p.m. SHARP!

For $15 participants will receive a commemorative wine glass and endless reasons to stroll through Downtown Carson City sipping and tasting the afternoon away. With paid admission you will receive a hand stamp, glass, map of participating stops, and a chance to win raffle prizes. Bring a previous month’s wine glass for a discount.

Enjoy live music at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery at the Brewery Arts Center; be sure to check out their 'Four Wheels: Now and Then' art show, in addition to a classic car show out front. Folk singer Hallie Kirk will be waiting for you at Comma Coffee.

Bring your gently used shoes to Artsy Fartsy Art Gallery: they are a drop-off site for the Safe Haven Rescue Kennel Fundrasier. Learn what our local Library has in store at their table inside the Visitor’s Bureau. Carson City Art Gallery is making its mark with live music, art demos, and more.

Don’t miss the downtown taverns on the map: the Blue Bull, Old Globe Saloon, and Alatte. Just Brew It has a great beer selection, brewing essentials, and growlers. Comma Coffee offers beer and wine, and now you’ll find pizza on the menu

Downtown Carson City bustles with a plethora of locally owned small businesses. Brave the construction and the weather and go explore.

The Downtown Business Association has a website to keep you updated with the great businesses that make up the core of our historical downtown. You can check it out at www.DowntownCarson.org. You can also follow the DBA on Facebook HERE. Be safe, Carson City, and have a wonderful wine walk!
