The Reno Jazz Orchestra will present “Creative Directions in Jazz” at the Nevada Museum of Art on October 21, 2022. The program is presented as part of UPSTAGE: A Literary and Performing Art Series supported by the Nightingale Family Foundation and the Williams Foundation. The concert will showcase original compositions by contemporary composers.

Carson Valley Sertoma is hosting an Octoberfest on September 17, 2022. This is the 29th year that the event is being held and this year they are proud to be joining forces with W.A.V.E and Moxy-Up. Oktoberfest is a festive fundraiser serving German foods, Music and fun.

Quilt Show with Music! Come and join us on Sunday afternoon, July 17th at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 4895 S. McCarran Ave, Reno. We are excited to share our love of quilting, knitting and music! On Monday, January 31, The Brother Dan Show welcomes guitarist Buddy Emmer. Originally from Texas, Buddy currently hosts Tuesday night blues at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, featuring weekly guest artists from across the country.

Buddy’s extensive lists of performance credits includes opening for a multitude of well-known artists including Joe Bonamassa, Elvin Bishop, John Lee Hooker II, Lydia Pence and Cold Blood, and many others. In addition, he has shared the stage with the like of Greg Allman, Jimmie Vaughn, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, just to name a few.

The Reno Jazz Orchestra, in conjunction with the University of Nevada, Reno, will celebrate the music career of Dr. Larry Engstrom, an icon of the School’s Program in Jazz and Improvisational Music, and renowned educator, composer, and trumpeter. The concerts will be held at the Good Luck Macbeth Theater in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 21 at 4:00 p.m.

The first concert in CVAC’s 2021-2022 Concert Series will feature music from the Comstock Cowboys on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 7:00 pm at TJ’s Corral at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden.

Silver City, Nevada -Silver City's annual science and arts summer programming kicks off with acoustic music at the Silver City Park and outdoor stage on Tuesday, June 22 from 10am-noon. Bring a chair and find a spot on the lawn to enjoy the show featuring local musician Mylo McCormick.
