What's happening around Carson City on Sunday, Sept. 30

The Genoa Candy Dance completes its 99th annual festival today in historic downtown Genoa. Check out a plethora of food and craft vendors throughout downtown Genoa, including storied Mormon Station State Historic Park.

Muscle Powered is also sponsoring some outdoor events around the area Sunday, including a 13-mile hike along the Marlette Flume Trail above Lake Tahoe.

And Carson City Parks and Recreation Foundation is hosting an open house at Carson City's historic Wungnema House, built by a Hopi stonemason family, on the east end of Mills Park.
