The Brewery Arts Center’s Flatbed Concert Series presents Ev and the Electric Soup Saturday

The Brewery Arts Center will deliver live music directly to the citizens of Carson City while practicing social distancing once again this week.
Miles Construction Company has generously donated the use of a Flatbed Truck and with financial support from The Change Companies, the Nauman Foundation, and Carson Tahoe Hospital, the BAC will place musicians and bands on the flatbed and drive them through the streets and neighborhoods of Carson City throughout June, July and August and now into September.
This Saturday, Aug. 15, the BAC is proud to present Ev and the Electric Soup.
Entertaining in this area for 40+ yrs, Ev Musselman is a front man for several band and a recording and sound engineer. His whole purpose in playing is to connect with humanity and to allow expression of the heart and soul in a give and give back manner, whether leading worship or playing on rockin' day like Nevada Day, it's all about gratitude and connection.
The Electric Soup consists of Russ Hohenberger & Steve Shaw.
Russ has been playing music on the local scene for the last 24 years. Growing up and playing music in Oklahoma, before moving to the San Francisco Bay area and after playing all around northern California he moved to Carson City where he saw a need for quality sound for bands and he began meeting local musicians and started to support them with sound systems that met their needs.
Russ played in many local groups, including Baker Street, The Rustlers, Musicole, Kool Fire (a tribute to Kool and the gang and Earth Wind and Fire), and too many to list! Russ plays all styles of music, he just wants to make people dance and have a good time and help to put a smile on their face. Band leader Ev and Russ have been in many groups together over the years, and now have once again joined forces in The Electric Soup.
Steve Shaw will be on bass and vocals and has been an entertainer for approximately 38 years. He’s had numerous recording projects, created local jingles, play various artists such as Buddy Miles, Ricky Hendricks, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Mark Lindsay. Also, Steve has played in several production shows and casino house cabaret bands.
The flatbed stage will begin at the Boys and Girls Club and make its way through the neighborhood between Lompa Lane and Airport Rd, north of Hwy 50. The route will also stop wherever people are safely gathering. The BAC strongly encourages social distancing and especially wearing masks when they stop by the larger, open spaces and parks to perform a few songs. The BAC will be giving out art kits to the kids provided by Southwest Gas Company and even face masks if you need one.
