Carson City Fire Department responded Wednesday afternoon to a fire at the landfill off of Flint Road in East Carson City.

The Prison Hill Off-Highway Vehicle area and the motorized trailhead, parking located on Golden Eagle Lane in Carson City will be closed during red flag warning days.

East Fork Fire and other agencies responded after 3 p.m. Monday to a brush fire in the Pine Nut Mountains in Douglas County.
