The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada serve more than 2,500 youth each year in Carson City and the Carson Valley. The club offers youth programming in core areas, including character, leadership, sports, healthy lifestyles, the arts, STEM, and education, offering free tutoring for students after school.

RICE Hydro, Inc. Supporting STEM Education Reaching for the Stars

The Carson City company donated much needed testing equipment to the Space Concordia Rocketry Division (SCRD) student team from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. On June 17, 2021, students ignited their experimental liquid-propelled rocket engine, called Stewart, and produced a record-shattering 35kN of thrust.

Local scientist donates 550 thermometer watches to Carson City STEM school

The wearable technology, costing less than $10, is designed to monitor the temperature of the wearer and indicate if they are running a fever.

Legos are a great way to help children develop many skills including visualizing in the third dimension, developing literary skills, learning to follow instructions, and is simply a great way to spend time with your child! The Museum has already prepped Covid-19 safe “packs” of Legos.
