Senators salvage split in twin-bill against Tigers
Shrugging off the disappointment of a heart breaking loss in game one, the Carson High softball team showed resilience by pulling out a 7-6 victory in eight innings to salvage a double header split at home against Douglas on Saturday.
In game one, Douglas rallied from an early 10-0 deficit to hand Carson a 12-10 defeat. The Senators came back to win game two as Natalie Morrow pitched five scoreless innings of relief and Emily Collins delivered a sacrifice fly that scored Mariah Hartley with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
