The Loft is a first for the California side of Tahoe South that combines a theater, with nightly live entertainment, a lounge and restaurant for families and adults. Located on the third floor of the Heavenly Village Cinema, the $1 million complex features 107-seats, a separate dining area serving authentic Italian cuisine, bar and lounge.

Symposium to highlight social media uses

“It’s an opportunity for the marketing community to come together,” said Kyle Horvath, social media director for the visitors bureau. “It’s a place people can feel comfortable to bounce ideas off each other and learn from others’ mistakes.”
The symposium will begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 5 and 6 at the Adams Hub for Innovation, 111 W. Proctor St.

Although their product was great, they had a hard time getting the word out because they couldn't afford to advertise like they wanted. Advertising is important, but it’s not end end-all, be-all of business. There are three things you need to build a customer base, or what I’d like to call your future fan base.
1) A product or service worth talking about
2) An opportunity to expose people to that winning product or service
