Stimulus Program Information

The coronavirus relief bill passed March 27 by Congress provides payments to individuals who make less than $100,000 a year. The payment total $1,200 for each adult who makes $75,000 or less, plus $500 per child. The payment amounts decrease if you make between $75,000 and $99,000. The income is determined by your latest tax return filed with the IRS. It will use your 2019 taxes if you have filed them already, or your 2018 taxes if you haven't. CARSON CITY — Sixth graders in Mrs. Laurel Dority’s science class at Carson Middle School had the opportunity to chat via video conference with Dr. TJ Fudge, who’s preparing to leave for another 6-week expedition where he’ll continue his efforts to study climate change using ice core samples.

The Fourth Annual Early Childhood Expo scheduled for Saturday, March 3 at the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada has been canceled because of expected inclement weather, Carson City School District Public Information Officer Dan Davis said.

Eight MIT and Harvard students are biking across the country to teach hands-on engineering workshops to students in select locations, including a stop at the Carson City Library. Bringing the Legacy of a Nation to Life
An unforgettable evening to support CITY OF WHITE GOLD, the quintessential documentary film on how Comstock silver built San Francisco and the Far West in the 19th century Bonanza Era.

The project called The Vintage At Kings Canyon was presented by the managers in an open meeting at the Fritsch School on April 7th to a crowd estimated at 250-400 people.

On April 25 it was again the topic of another public meeting at the school. This time the meeting was called by the neighbors, and drew over 200 highly interested people, along with the mayor, two candidates for mayor, a supervisor, a candidate for supervisor, a reporter, a retired reporter, and other retired reporter also a candidate for supervisor.

Sometimes it takes a while to get the big picture, to see things coming into focus. Now, I am not much for conspiracy theories, but if anything looks like it is being driven by design, this is one. For the life of me I do not understand how any egomaniac could possibly get his jollies from a trend he might have started but maybe not even his great-grandson might see coming to fruition. But there it is, a hundred year timeline on several fronts.
