Repeats every 4 weeks on the 30 of January on the last Friday until Tue May 28 2024 .
January 30, 2024 (All day) If you're ready to build confidence, establish a survival mindset, and become empowered, then Girls on Guard is for you!
This women's self-defense course focused on risk awareness, risk reduction and personal safety. It will teach you alertness, avoidance, space management, and a system of resisting possible assaults using simple-to-learn, gross-body movements that take advantage of natural instincts.

Okay all you procrastinators, if you planned on making it to the Arlington Square Ice Rink, then today is your last chance. With a temperature around 50, it should be a perfect day to skate one last time. Show some Senator Pride tonight at the Community Center as 24 seniors compete for ‘Mr. Carson High.’ There’s a lot going on this weekend, so take a look at the list and go have some fun.

February 6, 2016 - 8:30am Women's Self Defense Seminar: Improve your personal safety by learning specific techniques to enhance situational awareness, avoidance and protection in a self defense situation.
Defend against a bigger, stronger attacker. You will learn defensive moves against bear hugs, chokes, wrist grabs, being taken to the ground, knives, guns and more.
Seminar is $10 per person, with proceeds to benefit Advocates to End Domestic Violence.

WNC Community Education Classes Offer Employment and Life Skills

Western Nevada College non-credit Community Education classes not only offer job skill preparation, they also help build life skills and provide help with personal health. Several classes are on tap this spring that will provide benefits to local residents.
FREE Women's Self Defense Seminar

March 22, 2014 - 10:00am For her senior project Carson High School Senior Emily Eiswert will be holding a FREE self defense seminar on Saturday March 22, 2014 from 10 am to noon.
This class is open to women ages 10 and up. Girls between 10-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have a signed release form on file at Carson ATA.
