Reports: Wild horses rounded up in Dayton area

According to a number of people on the Facebook social media page Dayton Nevada News and Information, the roundup involves several horses the advocates say were put into pens.

She will review strategies advocated by the League for keeping wild horses free from slaughter and eventual extinction, and will explain what members of the public can do to help advance those goals. The group hopes to avoid having all of Nevada's wild horses confined to a limited number of sanctuaries.

Instead of flowers, the family asked that memorial donations be made to the Infusion Center at Carson Valley Medical Center, where Carlos had been a longtime patient.
The family expressed thanks to the entire staff of the Infusion Center in Iribarren’s published obituary, noting the care of registered nurse Lori Salvador in particular.

On Thursday, Oct. 5, the Lyon County Board of Commissioners will be presented with safety concerns in reference to wild horses on Highway 50. Current code prohibits the watering of wild horses within 1,500 feet of a highway right of way.

Nevada Ag Department: Band of 16 wild horses in Carson City to be vaccinated and relocated

The horses will be vaccinated with fertility control drugs, as part of an agreement between the NDA and the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign and then relocated to an area south of Highway 50 near Stagecoach.
Two wild horses die in Tuesday wreck; motorists urged to be cautious driving Virginia Range
Submitted by editor on Wed, 09/07/2016 - 10:39amAfter a collision on Toll Road in south Reno, Nevada Department of Agriculture officials urge motorists to use extreme caution when driving in the Virginia Range area. The collision took place late on Tuesday night and involved two vehicles and three feral horses. The motorists sustained no injuries, but the accident resulted in two dead horses.
