Such a beautiful day in store, they’ll probably be in the courtyard. Our rivers and reservoirs are filled to the brim: if you ever wanted to learn more about fly-fishing, this is probably a good time for it. The Carson City Fly Fishing Club meets monthly at the Carson City Airport and is a perfect choice for those who already love or are curious about the sport.

Sierra Nevada Ballet will perform Brew, Brats, and Ballet this Sunday, April 30, 4 p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City. Tickets can be purchased breweryarts.org.

It's "big-band jazz times three" when the Mile High Jazz Band, Carson High Jazz Band, and Carson Middle School Jazz Band present the 14th annual combined concert, the Mile High-Carson High Jazz Extravaganza, on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m., in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William Street, Carson City.

The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1976, presents BOSTYX which features the hits and vibe of two American pop music icons Boston and STYX all in one high-energy show that is sure to please classic rock ‘n roll fans of all ages.

Attention choristers: The Carson City Symphony Chorus will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, May 17, for performances at the Governor’s Mansion on June 12 and in Genoa on July 4. Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Choral Room in Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road in Carson City.

The Brewery Arts Center (BAC) in downtown Carson City will be hosting a free summer concert series this year, sponsored by the Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation.

Through the efforts of the BAC, Carson City was one of 15 cities nationwide awarded the concert series for 2016.

The Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series kicks off June 4 and will run every Saturday evening through August 6 with live music starting at 7 p.m. along Minnesota Street next to the BAC. The 10-week music series will include one Friday night show on June 17.

The concert series is free and open to the public.

Get your fro-yo fix at Yogurt Beach and help raise funds for the annual Relay for Life fundraiser. A great panel of women will be at the Dayton Community Center this evening to share their experiences growing up on the Comstock.

The Carson City Symphony hosted a jazz concert Sunday at the Carson City Community Center. Guest jazz vocalist Madeline Eastman entertained concert goers with some of her latest tracks, and the orchestra added a full saxophone section, and extra trumpets and drums!
