Forest Service issues temporary closure order for South Shore Tahoe recreation corridor

The closures were effective as of Monday, April 13, 2020.
Lakeside Inn and Casino at Lake Tahoe closes permanently due to pandemic crisis

Error in Carson City COVID-19 test performance leaves local resident in limbo

However, the situation became all that more complicated when the test was administered incorrectly by Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS).
CCHHS admitted to the error, and has rescheduled a second test to be performed today.

Walking through the main terminal at 2:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, the number of people travelling could be counted on one hand, literally.
The terminals were quiet and looked and smelled meticulously clean. Rental car agents played with their phones. Slot machines were dark and quiet. Custodians pushed carts with blue, latex-covered hands, spray bottles at the ready to disinfect anything anybody touches.

Stimulus Program Information
The coronavirus relief bill passed March 27 by Congress provides payments to individuals who make less than $100,000 a year. The payment total $1,200 for each adult who makes $75,000 or less, plus $500 per child. The payment amounts decrease if you make between $75,000 and $99,000. The income is determined by your latest tax return filed with the IRS. It will use your 2019 taxes if you have filed them already, or your 2018 taxes if you haven't.
