Submitted by admin on Fri, 03/13/2020 - 4:59pmWhen there is heightened concern around an illness, Carson Tahoe closely monitors the situation and implements enhanced infection prevention strategies, working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local health districts, and other local healthcare providers. In response to the recent declaration of a ‘National State of Emergency’ surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, and in following the CDC’s recommendations for social distancing, we have decided to take additional precautionary measures to reduce the risk of contracting/spreading seasonal illnesses.
Volunteer operations halted at Carson Tahoe Health due to coronavirus threat

Carson City bests Reno and Vegas for January job growth
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 03/10/2020 - 2:27pmJanuary job growth in Carson City grew by 2.2 percent over January 2019 figures, giving the capital city the distinction of having the fastest job growth for the month compared to Reno and Las Vegas, according to figures released Tuesday by the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.

All the gardeners were seeing effects of climate change such as “floods to drier summers.”

Events include the KTVN Share Your Christmas Food Drive at the Governor's Mansion in Carson City and at Minden's Carson Valley Inn, Homestead Holidays at the Silver Saddle Ranch and more. The Polar Express Train Rides are sold out for the rest of the year, but Santa Train express rides are steaming up at the Nevada State Railroad Museum over the weekend. Read on for details.

These individuals have a severe and profound physical and neurological disability, cannot care for themselves, need full-time assistance, and are some of the kindest human beings in the world, many of whom are students in the Carson City School District and at CHS. Each year, students in the CHS Comprehensive Life Skills program make crafts to sell at the annual CHS Craft Fair and give as gifts.

Carson City job growth up 3.6 percent over year, Reno up 4.8 percent

Reno employment figures increased 4.8 percent, and Las Vegas, 1.3 percent over the course of the year.
