Annual Beer and Pizza Championships return to Carson Mall April 25

The Rotary Club of Carson City and High Sierra Brewing Company bring you the Fourth Annual Carson City Beer and Pizza Championships at the Carson Mall, Saturday, April 25. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and will run until 9:30 p.m. Join local Rotarians, business owners, and other Carson City movers and shakers. Rotary Club of Carson City gears up for April's Beer and Pizza Championships

Now considered a Carson City spring tradition, the Rotary Club of Carson City will play host to its fourth annual Carson City Beer and Pizza Championships at the Carson Mall on Saturday, April 25.

The community is welcomed to taste, judge and enjoy finely crafter beer brewed from around the region and piping hot fresh pizza tossed and baked from local restaurants. Sixteen respected craft beer brewers and microbreweries will offer their top selections to attendees as they compete for awards during the Championships.

Rotary Club of Carson City shops for 25 families

The Rotary Club of Carson City adopted 25 families from The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program this past Saturday December 13th. Each year for more than twenty years the Rotary Club of Carson City has been adopting families for Christmas as a mentoring program.

Ride for Rugrats sponsored by the Sunset Rotary Club of Carson City

Carson Victory Rollers, Sunset Rotary Club of Carson City to hold bout to benefit youth programs

The Carson Victory Rollers and the Rotary Club of Carson City Sunset have teamed up for a roller derby bout to raise money for the Rotary's many youth programs.

The bout will take place 5 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2014 at the parking lot across from the Carson Nugget. Tickets are $5 per person. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Sponsorships are available by contacting rolling4rotary@gmail.com.

Beer and Pizza Championships set for March 28

The Rotary Club of Carson City's hit event the Beer and Pizza Championships, returns again this year so help us crown the King (or Queen) of all brews and pizza in the greater Carson City area.

The event at the Carson Mall begins at 5:30 p.m. and will feature a live and silent auction, raffle for wheelbarrow full of wine, and a drawing for a 4-Day Samuel Adams Boston trip for two!

The event is presented by the Rotary Club of Carson City and High Sierra Brewing Co and benefits local scholarships and charities. Ticket includes all you can drink beer and all you can eat pizza.

Sunset Rotary Club of Carson City donates dictionaries to promote literacy

For the 13th year, the Sunset Rotary Club of Carson City will donate dictionaries to each third grade student in Carson City and Dayton.

The club’s Rotarians will go to each elementary school and present a dictionary to the area’s 624 students in an effort to encourage literacy and to educate our community of the goals of rotary locally.

The Sunset Rotary Club of Carson City is a community service organization that does various projects within the carson city and dayton areas as well as around the world. Education is one of Rotary International’s areas of focus.

Rotary Club of Carson City Announces Winners of Second Annual Beer and Pizza Championships

CARSON CITY, NV - For the second year in a row, area residents came out by the hundreds to enjoy an evening of pizza, beer, music and fundraising for a good cause. The second annual Carson City Rotary Club Beer and Pizza Championships was a big success, raising more than $25,000 to assist with a number of community needs.

Sunset Rotary Club of Carson City collecting bras for women escaping the sex trade

The Sunset Rotary Club of Carson City has partnered with the Sunrise Rotary Club of Bishop, Calif., to send used and new camisoles, sports bras and bras to Free the Girls, a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving women a sustainable income once they have been saved from the sex trade and human trafficking industries in Africa and South America.

Rotary Club of Carson City holds Food for Thought fundraiser through February

The Rotary Club of Carson City will host and sponsor a Chicken Soup and Crackers Food Drive For Carson City's Food for Thought through the entire month of February.

Donation bins will be available at various businesses in Carson City and the Food for Thought offices, 3246 N. Carson Street, Suite 118, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Rotary Club of Carson City and High Sierra Brewing Company presents the Beer and Pizza Championships, March 31 at Carson Mall.

Come and taste the best beer and pizza in the region, and vote for your favorite. You can also enjoy the Final Four on TV at the same time, or take part in basketball shooting contests. There will be a live auction for trips and events, a silent auction for great local gifts, and a drawing for a Samuel Adams trip to Boston.
