Carson City, Nevada – On Saturday, October 20, 2012, the “40 Days For Life” Fall 2012 campaign will hold a “Youth For Life” rally across from the Planned Parenthood facility at 1201 North Stewart Street from 12 noon until 2 PM. 40 Days For Life Reno-Tahoe co-coordinator Carol Marie says, “It is the youth who face the prospect of their friends coping with an unexpected pregnancy and the decisions that come with such a realization.

Members of the “40 Days For Life” campaign will gather from 9 AM to noon on Saturday across from Planned Parenthood on North Stewart St. at John St. to pray in what’s being called a “Celebration of Life: From the Beginning to the End.” Contact is Cecelia Merrell, 775-297-6990.

About 40 Days for Life

Outside the new Planned Parenthood office on North Stewart Street, members of northern Nevada’s faith community are holding a silent prayer vigil as part of the 40 Days for Life campaign in the state capital. The vigil to end abortion will take place at the facility through April 1st on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, its current days of operation. While Planned Parenthood does not perform surgical abortions there, it provides abortifacient drugs to expecting mothers.

Join hosts Laura Fitzsimmons, Pam Graber, and Maggie Tracey at the Carson City Planned Parenthood on Monday, February 13, from 5 - 7 p.m. for an open house. Their new facility is located at 1201 North Stewart Street, suite 120.

Planned Parenthood offers several services to the community, including mammograms, women wellness checkups, STD screening and treatment and HPV vaccinations, as well as contraception options. Come to the center and see for yourself; there will be tours, wine, refreshments, and "love kits" for all.
