For those of you who aren't the proud parents of tumblers, Carson City has plenty to keep you busy.
Thursday is Eagle Valley Middle School Day at Highway 50 East Pizza Factory

On Thursday, Jan. 15 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., the Pizza Factory on Highway 50 East will donate 20 percent of the entire day's earnings back to Eagle Valley Middle School's Parent Teacher Organization.
We are trying to save up money to help purchase incentive prizes for the State Assessment Tests for our students. Please either dine in, call for delivery or pick up some awesome pizzas, pastas, sandwiches or chicken wings while donating back to our school.

You may want some ice cream for your vocal cords after you hit the Karaoke circuit; Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar, Caterpillar’s Hookah Lounge, and the Feisty Goat Pub all want to see you wearing your performing hat tonight. On a more local level, today also brings the annual State of the State address delivered by our Governor, Brian Sandoval.

Please come down and dine in, pick up or have delivered some AWESOME pizzas, wings, sub sandwiches or pastas and the generous owners of PF will donate 20% of the entire day's earnings to the EVMS PTO.
This month's funds will go back towards purchasing snacks for the entire student body during SBAC exams.

Pizza Factory offers free lunches for vets on Veterans Day
Submitted by editor on Mon, 11/03/2014 - 3:20pmThey say there's no such thing as a free lunch. But this Nov. 11, on Veterans Day, the Pizza Factory restaurants in Carson City, Dayton and across the west will treat veterans to lunch on the pizza chain's dime.
"We appreciate everything our veterans have done for our country and want to honor their service," says Mary Jane Riva, chief executive officer of Pizza Factory, which has 110 restaurants throughout Nevada, California Idaho, Washington, and Arizona.
The Carson City restaurant is located at 3120 Hwy 50 East. The Dayton restaurant is located at Pizza Factory 185 U.S. 50.
Eagle Valley Day Thursday at Carson City Pizza Factory

On Thursday, Oct. 16, 20 percent of the entire day's earnings will go towards our school's library this month. Many students cannot afford to purchase books or necessary literacy supplies that enable them to get a good education. And due to budget cuts, our admin is limited on what funds can and cannot be spent on.
Carson City Classic Cinema Club features 'Carnival of Souls' showing

This 1962 independent thriller was inspired as the writer/producer/director stumbled upon the abandoned Saltair amusement park on the southern shore of the Great Salt Lake in Utah. The film borders on campy, but has developed a strong cult following in recent years.

The generous owners will be donating 20 percent off the entire day's earnings back to our school to help pay for CRT snacks for the entire student body and hopefully buy us some much needed outdoor picnic tables for our students and staff to enjoy during the beautiful weather.

Pizza Factory Helps Eagle Valley Middle School on Thursday

Thursday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., the generous owners of Pizza Factory 3120 Hwy. 50 E., #3, will donate 20 percent of the entire day's earnings to the EVMS parent teacher organization.

Fundraiser for Tiffani Barber on Saturday at Highway 50 East Pizza Factory
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Fri, 02/21/2014 - 8:11pmThere will be a fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 22, for Tiffani Barber, a Carson City area cancer patient, at Pizza Factory on Highway 50 beginning at noon.
Last year Tiffani was diagnosed with gliobalstoma, the most common and aggressive malignant brain tumor. She found herself at age 24 in the fight for her life.
Tiffani is well known in Carson City for her beautiful contagious smile and upbeat personality. She is a hairstylist at Salon Chocolat, a Crossfit coach at Carson City Crossfit, but most of all she’s a daughter, sister and a friend.

December's Empty Bowls Project in Carson City raises more than $2,700 for FISH

Increasing the Joy in Carson City!

Increasing the Joy is making the holiday season more joyful by distributing gifts to these children, who may not have a traditional Christmas like many of us. Last year Increasing the Joy gave out 500 gifts and for 2012 we've set our goals even higher at 700 gifts. We believe that every child deserves joy.

Dayton 5K Race Results Announced
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 05/23/2011 - 4:05pmDayton’s first Healthy Communities Coalition 5K Walk/Run on May 14 attracted 50 contestants, plus 20 volunteers from Stand Tall and Dayton Task Force. The 5K fundraiser for Stand Tall’s youth leadership teams and Dayton Resource Bank resulted in $811 for the two local youth programs.
The event was a fun way for the community to exercise and to join together for two good causes. Organizers Lavurne Jeffreys and Star Erickson said they look forward to making this an annual event.
