Comedian Paula Poundstone performs Friday night in Carson City in a show benefiting the Friends of the Carson City Library. We recently spoke to Poundstone about her long career as a comic and the importance of libraries.

March 29, 2013 - 7:00pm The Friends of the Carson City Library will welcome comedienne Paula Poundstone in concert at the Bob Boldrick Theater in Carson City on Friday, March 29.
Doors open at 7 p.m. with the performance at 7:30 p.m. at the Theater, located in the Carson City Community Center. Reserved seats are $45 and general admission $35. Tickets can be bought at www.ticketderby.com (go to Paula Poundstone.) Tickets can also be purchased by calling (775) 885-9807 or at the Browsers Corner Book Store at the Carson City Library.
Family emergency forces Paula Poundstone to cancel Carson City show
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 10/24/2012 - 7:55amComedienne Paula Poundstone has canceled her Friday appearance in Carson City due to a family emergency. Friends of the Carson Ciy Library President Phyllis Patton said tickets will be refunded and more information will be made available soon.
The show will be scheduled at a later date, Patton said. Ticket sales had started out slow but began to pick up this week, she said.

October 26, 2012 (All day) Carson City, NV—The Carson City Friends of the Library CCFL is hosting a performance by award winning comedienne, Paula Poundstone to raise money for the Library. The CCFL invited Poundstone to Carson City to celebrate National Friends of the Library Week and to help raise money for the Library.
The performance will take place on Friday, October 26 at the Bob Boldrick Theater (Community Center), located at 851 East William Street in Carson City. The doors open at 7 PM.
