It seems like it was forever ago that construction finished on the Fuji Park fishing pond. Ever since then it’s just been sitting unused, but for good reason. They wanted to give all the plants they installed on the banks of this body of water time to take root and grow, so that they wouldn’t be trampled by dozens of feet while they were still establishing themselves.

And now, it looks like there will be a new Big Lots store moving in this fall.
While a discount closeout store isn't exactly the kind of high-end (or medium-end) store residents might have been hoping for, it's better than an empty storefront.

It was a blast. The event ran from 6 pm to 8 pm. There was no fee for spectators. If you weren’t able to make it out to Thursday night’s event, there will be two other Silver Dollar Cruise Nights before the Annual Carson City Silver Dollar Car Classic, July 22 at the Carson Mall & July 29 at the Plaza Hotel & Conference Center both from 6 pm to 8 pm.
