Fishing Report: Weather should be cooperative for Opening Day

Hello fellow anglers, opening day fishing season for California is only a week away. But, before we get to your pre-season report. There are rumors that may have fact to them going around.

California is looking into changing fishing seasons on many lakes and streams. Some areas may be open all year round and possibly change restrictions on others. Since Topaz is a bi-state body of water, the opening day ceremony that so many have come to love and look forward to on January 1st of each year may be a thing of the past.

Sierra Nevada Ear, Nose, and Throat and Hearing Aid Center to host Grand Opening April 24

Sierra Nevada Ear, Nose and Throat and Sierra Nevada Hearing Aid Center are opening a new location in Carson City, and will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on April 24 at 11:30 a.m.

Within the ever-expanding Carson Tahoe Medical Campus, Sierra Nevada ENT and Hearing Aid Center will be joining together under one roof to provide care to residents of Carson City and beyond.

Carson City’s new Renown Urgent Care hosts Ribbon Cutting Tuesday, Primary Care Facility to follow

Reno’s Renown Medical Center has branched into the capital city with its new Urgent Care, located at 2814 N. Carson Street next to the Eagle Valley Medical Center.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the new location Tuesday morning. In addition, according to Mark Beauchamp of Shahren Beauchamp Builders, who were the general contractors on the Urgent Care, a Primary Care Facility will be opening mid-May in South Carson, near Starbucks.

One thing we can all plan on is, all the back country lakes and roads will not be open until June or July. Carson City’s Bus Boy hosts grand opening Thursday at Mills Park

Carson City’s newest restaurant-on-wheels, Bus Boy, is holding a grand opening today, Thursday, at Mills Park with a Carson City Chamber event planned from 5 to 7 p.m., and a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled at 5:30 p.m.

They’ll be serving up food from their double decker, 36-foot long, 15-foot tall British icon blue bus throughout the day on Oxoby Loop at Mills Park.
