The seventh-ranked Nevada Wolf pack opened their season against a strong BYU team at a roaring Lawlor Events Center on election night. When all the votes were tallied, the home team prevailed 86-70 thanks in part to Jordan Caroline’s first-half effort.
Brothel vote in Lyon County sinks in general, early and absentee voting

Stacey Giomi: 14,373 (66.54 percent)
John Wood: 7,228 (33.46 percent)
Carson City Justice of the Peace Department 2, Nonpartisan, 6-year term
Kristin Luis: 11,079 (50.92 percent)
Ryan Russell: 10,680 (49.08 percent)
Carson City Sheriff
Kenny Furlong: 17,536 (78.86 percent)
Lorne R. Houle: 4,700 (21.14 percent)

Carson City Symphony chorus begins rehearsals for Holiday Treat Concert

Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. under the direction of Michael Langham at the Choral Room in Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road, in Carson City.
The Carson City Symphony Chorus is an expansion of the Carson Chamber Singers, now in its 34th year. The Chorus is open to all singers, high-school age and above.

Polls in Nevada open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, enjoy another day of sunny skies with a hike, brisk walk or bike ride around town. There's both a morning and evening hike offered through Muscle Powered or you can simply walk through downtown Carson City and alongside the capitol building. WNC Veterans Resource Center taking donations this week for homeless vets

Carson City POP Warner: Tiny Mite Blue having a great season

It is the oldest youth football and cheerleading program in Northern Nevada. Each season, Pop Warner provide tackle football and cheerleading activities to approximately 300 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 14.
