‘Break a leg’ to the talented kids in Wild Horse Children’s Theater. Their newest production, ‘Junie B. Jones, Jr.' opens at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall tonight. The Reno Coin Club has returned to the Nevada State Museum for it’s annual National Coin Week celebration with lectures, demonstrations, and foreign coins for kids. It’s a BINGO kind of night. Dayton High School is raising funds for their Safe Grad Night with a huge raffle and plenty of family-friendly BINGO fun. Join the Carson Victory Rollers roller derby girls at Battle Born Social for a Friday Night BINGO Bash.

Nevada State Museum to celebrate National Coin Week

CARSON CITY — The Nevada State Museum, in partnership with the Reno Coin Club, will be celebrating the 95th annual National Coin Week, April 15-21, with a special event planned at the museum on Friday, April 20.

In the world of coins, Carson City is a collector’s delight. Famous as the home of the U.S. Branch Mint that made some of the rarest of coins from 1870 to 1893, the Nevada State Museum, Carson City, hosts a special celebration of its coin-making past each year for National Coin Week.

Reno Coin Club and State Museum mark National Coin Week with special presentations, coin press

The Nevada State Museum celebrates National Coin Week April 19-25 with special activities Friday and Saturday. Co-sponsored by the Reno Coin Club, all activities will be held at the museum that was formerly the Carson City U.S. Branch Mint.

Historic Coin Press No. 1 will operate both days from 10 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 3:30 p.m. The press will mint silver .999 fine medallions for sale to the public.

With the theme “Celebrating Civic Service,” Nevada State Museum and the Reno Coin Club joins coin collectors from across the United States for the 91st annual National Coin Week observation. The museum, which is site of the original U.S. Mint in Carson City, hosts celebrations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Cash in on the celebration of coins this Saturday in Carson City

Time to flip a coin and cash in on some Carson City history this week.
Today through Saturday is National Coin Week and the Nevada State Museum and Reno Coin Club will celebrate the occasion with events culminating on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum.

The 87th annual National Coin Week, will celebrate coin and currency collecting with the theme, “Beautiful Places: Landmarks and Mintmarks.” The Nevada State Museum and the Reno Coin Club, both members of the American Numismatic Association, have several events lined up for the day.
