The Nightmare Before Christmas Auditions
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Tue, 07/31/2018 - 8:16pmAUDITIONS! Piper’s Players, a community theater based in Virginia City, Nevada, is holding auditions for this year's production of “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
Auditions will be held at Piper’s Opera House (12 B Street) on August 15 and 16 from 6p.m. – 8p.m. (Bring water – it’s a historical building.) Callbacks will be on August 20, between 6pm and 8pm.
Performances will be December 8, 9, 14, 15, and 16, 2018 at Piper's Opera House.
What do you need to audition?
Music: Be ready to sing for up to a minute.
'Hollywood's Original Annie' to appear at Carson City's BAC for movie screening, free concert

Antonio and Alexis Trujillo’s family, and Jordan and Theodore Leyva’s family are now displaced following this incident.

Head down to McFadden Plaza, even if you didn’t take the challenge personally. You’ll find live music, raffles, bike games, and too much fun. Western Nevada Musical Theater Company returns for another weekend of Singin’ in the Rain at the Bob Boldrick Theater. Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours are waiting to entertain you at the Brewery Arts Center. There may be some balcony seating still available, but tickets are very limited.

The Union provided beverage service for last month’s Carson’s Got Talent fundraiser benefiting Meals on Wheels Carson City.

Virginia City’s annual Veterans Day Parade begins at 11 a.m. and the City of Reno will commence their parade after a short ceremony beginning at 11:11 a.m. You’ll find an abundance of craft fairs in Carson City, Carson Valley, and Dayton. St. Paul’s Lutheran Family on Saliman welcomes you to their annual Craftique Open House. You’ll find the Young at Heart Seniors Club hosting a faire at the Douglas County Community Center. The Carson Nugget’s Sierra Room will be home to several artisans, vendors, and crafters during today’s wine walk. There’s quite a bit more, and plenty that doesn’t involve shopping, so take a look and have a great time.
