A Carson City man was arrested early Friday morning on felony suspicion of burglary, grand larceny and attempted burglary after allegedly stealing $800 in jackpot money from a player at a casino. During the investigation, officers recovered items stolen from a vehicle burglary that happened earlier, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Three were arrested Thursday for felony suspicion of burglary and other charges after deputies discovered a break-in at a car wash coin machine, which led to an investigation that resulted in the discovery of stolen items from several burglaries between Carson City, Sparks and Reno, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE: According to Melanie Porter, Carson City Deputy District Attorney, the suspect has been charged with the following: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Battery. Carson City Sheriff’s deputies arrested a known gang member Friday afternoon for allegedly trafficking 3.2 ounces of liquid methamphetamine.

According to the arrest report, the Tri-County Gang Unit received information on the whereabouts of Alonzo “Braindead” Rangel-Ahumada, 25, of Carson City, a known member of the Eastwood Tokers gang. The suspect had a felony warrant for failing to comply with the drug court on a previous conviction.
