Interview with Caitlin Jemma, international touring singer-songwriter from Virginia City

Jemma recently completed a European tour, and now she's back in the Silver State. She was scheduled to perform at Piper's Opera House tonight for the West Coast Songwriter's Showcase in Virginia City, until Mother Nature stepped in.

Two arrested for meth trafficking after parking in front of a 'No Parking' sign
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Tue, 02/05/2019 - 10:01amA 47-year-old Carson City man and a 29-year-old Carson City woman were arrested early Monday morning on the charges of felony trafficking of a schedule one controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman also had an additional charge of violating her suspended sentence.

But the roads are no fun to drive on with solid black ice underneath the snow. Be careful on your commute today, leave early and slow down for the Winter conditions.
Carson City emergency crews respond to multiple accidents on U.S. Highway 50 East
Submitted by Brett Fisher on Mon, 02/04/2019 - 2:43pmCarson City firefighter-paramedics and Sheriff's deputies are responding to two motor vehicle accidents within a half-mile of each other on U.S. Highway 50 East.
One, a two-vehicle crash, was located at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Airport Road. The vehicles involved have since been moved into the Dollar General parking lot.
A second two-vehicle accident, a collision, is located at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Fairview Drive.
Two victims are complaining of chest pain and difficulty breathing. Another is complaining of possible broken bones.

CCAI will host an opening reception on Friday, February 8 from 5-7 p.m.; the artist will give a brief talk about her work at 5:30 p.m. The exhibition will be in the gallery from February 8–May 03, 2019.

Snow and ice are expected to cover the roadways, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination, and drive safely.
There will be a few extra motorists in Carson City starting today and for the next 120 days as the 2019 Nevada Biennial Legislative Session begins.

If you are considering purchasing a rental property, just about all of your expenses are tax deductible (unless you rent to family members). Your mortgage loan interest, property taxes, and maintenance expenses are all allowable deductions. Your accountant may find other deductions for you as well, such as a 27-year depreciation rule.
