Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region packed with excitement over the next three days. Events include the Silver State Art Festival at Fuji Park, suicide awareness walks in Carson City, a Celtic faire at Dangberg Home Ranch, the ninth annual Edible Pedal bike ride at Bowers Mansion, train rides in Virginia City and much more!

Addictive pickleball continues to grow in Carson City

“Pickleball is not an old geezer’s game,” so stated Dina Stultz after finishing a set at Carson’s Multi-use Athletic Center, affectionately known simply as the MAC. She wants to let everyone know that pickleball is a serious game and can help in relieving all sorts health problems including reversing or slowing bone density issues, according to her medical doctor.

Hello fellow anglers, Just returned from a couple weeks of fishing from our local area to the Rogue River Valley in Oregon. The day we arrived, they had a wild fire that started at 200 acres and by the next day it was over 10,000. Grants pass was smokey and hard to breath, so Renee, my cousin Steve and I ventured to Brookings OR to do some salmon fishing.

Heading into Tuesday Aug. 6, which means the safest family celebration of the year at the 17th annual Carson City National Night Out. This is an event like no other, where agencies who work in areas of public health and safety gather at Mills Park to meet with Carson City residents. This event features 3 hours of information booths, games, demonstrations, food and fun. Also happening Tuesday is a free robotics mini-camp for kids in nearby Silver City, Reciprocity Inc. will host a fundraiser at Rustically Divine, there's the Culinary Traveler’s Club's Polynesian Paradise featured at Bleu Café; the Carson City Classic Cinema Club will feature a Sci-Fi favorite at the BAC, plus fitness outings and more. Carson City arrests: Burglary victim finds stolen AC unit in neighbor's window

A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of felony burglary and possession of stolen property after the victim discovered their stolen air conditioning unit was propped in their neighbor's apartment window, a sheriff's deputy report said.

Hello fellow anglers. Sorry I have been away for a couple weeks, had to catch up on a few things in order to start fishing again. The fishing is getting good all over our area. Before we get to our fishing report, let us remember that while we are out camping, we have to abide by some simple rules. There are no campfires allowed outside of designated campgrounds.
