Homeland Security Commissioners, Sheriffs Frustrated With Lack of Progress

Tighter security measures at Carson City capitol building after threats

Domestic abuse calls keep Carson City officers busy over weekend

Most involved drinking, with at least one of the cases resulting in a woman being taken to the hospital after she was punched and kicked in the head and face.

A 21-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested on domestic battery charges after he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend from behind and held a tight hold on her until she collapsed. The incident happened at North Roop and Northridge streets at about 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Call it stepped up law enforcement, higher gas prices, or the recession erupting in full fury, but the fatal accident rate in Nevada dropped quite a bit last year.
Big gaming is more and more intercepting gaming customers nationally and internationally so they don’t have to come to Nevada to gamble
