Second at-large suspect in Carson City residential burglary now in custody

The second suspect connected with a residential burglary that happened last month was arrested Thursday, a Carson City sheriff’s lieutenant said.

Cody Rogers-Shaw was found hiding in a yard in the 1600 block of Marian Street in Carson City at around 11:20 a.m. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility.

The Carriage Square Neighborhood, located half a mile west of Carson Street and just south of Winnie Ln., is having its annual garage sale day on Saturday, June 4th, starting at 8am. At least 16 homes are participating this year, and are selling a smorgasbord of items.

Once you're in the neighborhood, just look for the balloons! Each Garage Sale home will have balloons tied to the mailbox so you know exactly where to go.

The 18th Annual Sands EuroFest Benefits Shriners Hospital

The Sands Regency’s 18th Annual EuroFest brings together free, live entertainment, a wide variety of European cuisine, more than 70 European and craft beers and a multitude of craft booths to provide Reno with a fun-filled celebration of culture for all ages. Earth Spirit Faire at Community Center this weekend

Dozens of vendors are displaying their products and services in celebration of the Earth at the annual Earth Spirit Faire held this year at the Carson City Community Center today and tomorrow.

History all around at Carson Mall antique show

Baskets, coins, furniture, jewelry, knives, signage, spoons, and knick-knacks of all types can be found at the Carson Mall Junk in the Trunk Antique Show and Sale today until 7pm. The show had an appraiser on hand until 3pm, where for only $5 they would assess the value of any item brought before them. Approximately 20 vendors had their wears on display today.

Warrants issued for pair suspected of Dec. 11 Carson City home burglary

The Carson City Sheriff's Office has issued warrants for two suspects believed to be involved in a Dec. 11 residential burglary in the 800 block of Ridgefield Drive.

The suspects, identified as Kayla Marie Robbins, 23, and Keith Dewayne Gearhart, 36, are suspected of taking a large amount of jewelry, sports memorabilia and electronics.
